Niniejszy artykuł podejmuje tematykę badań właściwości twardych materiałów powłokowych przy użyciu metod szlifu sferycznego i testu zarysowania. Zaprezentowano nową oryginalną metodykę ujawniania struktur cienkich warstw i powłok i sposób oceny ich jakości.

Subject relevant to research of the properties of hard coating materials with methods of the spherical cut and the scratch test are approached. The new original methodology of the exposure of structures of thin films and coatings is presented.
