SUMMARY
Investigations results of the effect of “nitrided layer/PAPVD coating” composites structure on the durability of cold stamping tools. Three stages of composite structure generation process were investigated: analysis of wear mechanism, optimisation of composite structure and industrial verification of generated composites. Obtained results proved that composite multiplayer structures of “nitrided layer/TiN-Ti(CxN1-x)” type are very effective to increase the durability of cold stamping tools.
