DUPLEX LAYERS OBTAINED BY NITRIDING
AND PAPVD-Arc METHODS

SUMMARY
A formation of composite layer – nitriding layer/PAPVD coating on X37CrMoV5-1 steel was investigated. The aim of this work was to analyse the possibility to obtain the Cr-N containg coating by PAPVD-Arc process on WCL steel substrates subjected to the controlled gas nitriding process Nitreg®. The structure, phase composition, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of obtained duplex layers are determined.
