SUMMARY
Application of rationally selected electroplated coatings for moulds is presented. Required physical and me-chanical properties of moulds coatings are given. The properties and application of developed technology of the electroplating of high-strength metals: nickel-tungsten
or nickel-molybdenum, nickel-phosphorous, chromium and TiNN coatings modified with electroplated nickel-phosphorous interlayer
are discussed. This innovative technique offers several benefits and can be used in numerous commercial application including the use
in manufacturing of gun barrels.
