SUMMARY
Paper presents industrial applications of gas nitriding and its modifications. Results of industrial nitriding
technologies developed in Institute of Precision Mechanics are presented. The following nitriding technologies
are described: anticorrosion nitriding, for hot forging tools, for heavy-loaded elements, for steel with high chromium
content and for tools made of high-speed steels.
