SUMMARY
Investigation results of anti-wear Ni-P-Al2O3 composite surface layers deposited on C45 steel were presented. Structure observations were made with atomic field microscope-AFM and scanning electron microscopy-SEM/EDS. Applied observation techniques made possible to assess the surface topography and the cross-sections of deposited layers – to determine the linear distribution of elements and the layers thickness. Tribological characteristics were obtained with T-01 M tribological tester working in ball-en-disk system in dry friction conditions as well as in boundary friction conditions using model lubricants: oily bases, AW anti-wear agents containing oily bases and phosphasine synthetic oils of high operating properties.
