MICROSTRUCTURE AND CORROSION RESISTANCE
OF ELECTRO-SPARK DEPOSITED Cu-Ti AND Cu-Mo COATINGS

SUMMARY
The paper deals with Cu-Ti and Cu-Mo type coatings deposited by electro-spark method on C45 steel substrate. The microstructure analyse of obtained coatings showed their thickness of 8 - 10 μm and their strong binding (by diffusion) with the substrate. The conducted examinations demonstrated their high corrosion resistance, especially good in case of Cu-Mo coatings. Therefore coatings deposited by electro-spark method can find applications in slide friction units as well as the protection coatings.
